Directors
Tony Corey, Chairman of the Board of Directors
Tony Corey retired from his position as President and CEO of Rodel, Inc. in October 2002 after 5 years with the company. Rodel is the global leader in Chemical Mechanical Planarization (CMP), a key process used to make semiconductor chips. Rodel technology touches almost every chip made in the world today. During Mr. Corey’s tenure, which included the two worst recessions in the history of the semiconductor industry, Rodel witnessed outstanding growth in sales and profits, propelling its valuation from $260 million to over $2 billion during his stewardship. Prior to Rodel, Tony held many positions of increasing responsibilities around the world with Rohm and Haas. His assignments took him and his family for ten years overseas in England, Germany, France and Brazil. During his 11-year tenure he worked in the textiles, leather, paper, plastics and coatings industries. His last position at Rohm and Haas was Corporate Vice President and a member of the senior management leadership council. Since Rodel, Tony has started and co-founded new ventures: Corey Capital (global equity investments), Urban Logic (real estate development), MtCedar Properties (real estate management) and TradeCom (commodities trading). Before entering the corporate world, Tony was a Senior Lecturer at Widener University for two years (Chemical Engineering and Management). His background includes a B.S. in Biology (American University of Beirut), M.S. in Chemical Engineering (The Ohio State University) and M.B.A. (Widener University). He is fluent in English, French, Arabic, and Portuguese and adequate in Spanish.
Austin Crowder, Founder, President, CEO
Austin Crowder’s career in medical device sales and distribution expertise resulted in bringing to market a number of specialty surgical devices as both a sales consultant and distributor principal. During his tenure in the medical device field, working closely with surgeons in the operating room, Mr. Crowder identified a high demand for portable surgical illumination. After conducting extensive research, Mr. Crowder developed and patented technology that is today the platform of the ONE HEADLĪT as well as many future product applications. Mr. Crowder’s understanding of the medical device marketplace combined with his vision of technology applications brought together talents from various fields to build AMS and its technology. Mr. Crowder holds a B.S. in Psychology and Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Christian Brother’s University, as well as Masters work in Business Administration at the University of Texas, San Antonio.
Steven O. Dunford, Co-Founder
Steven O. Dunford has over 20 years experience as a Product Development and Research Engineer in emerging technologies with such industry giants as Texas Instruments, Raytheon, and Nokia. He has extensive experience in structural composite materials, thermal management, nanotechnology, and new product development and commercialization strategies. In additional to holding an M.S. in Science and Technology Commercialization from the University of Texas at Austin, Mr. Dunford has completed numerous project management and Six Sigma programs, authored or co-authored more than 20 invention reports, has 5 patent applications pending, and holds 2 U.S. patents.
Hansen A. Yuan, Ph.D., Board Member
Hansen A Yuan MD has been a Professor of Orthopedic and Neurological Surgery at the State University of New York, Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY since 1990. Dr. Yuan was also President of the North American Spine Society (NASS) from 1995 to 1996 and Second Vice President of NASS from 1993 to 1995. He has published extensively on topics such as degenerative disc disease, spinal fusion, spinal disc replacement and artificial spinal nucleus replacement. Dr. Yuan was Chairman of Orthopedic Surgery at Upstate Medical University from 1987 to 1989 and held Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor positions from 1974 to 1987. Dr. Yuan has served on the Associate Editorial Board at The Spine Journal since 2002 and the Department of Health and Human Services Orthopedic and Rehabilitation Devices Panel since 1994. Dr. Yuan holds an M.D. from the University of Michigan Medical School.
Matthew R. Dowdell, Board Secretary
Native Tulsan Matthew R. Dowdell obtained his Juris Doctor from the University of Tulsa College of Law in May 2004. While in school, Mr. Dowdell was Dean of the T. Austin Gavin Senate of the Delta Theta Phi legal fraternity. After his term as Dean, he was awarded the Most Outstanding Student of the Fraternity Award, for the academic year 2003-2004, by the National Vice-Chancellor of Delta Theta Phi. At T.U., he was also involved in the Johnson/Sontag American Inn of Court, the Boesche Legal Clinic, as well as a volunteer for the Neighbor for Neighbor Legal Clinic. After admission to the Oklahoma Bar in April 2005, Mr. Dowdell served as in-house counsel for a small, independent oil and gas operator and producer. He is a 1998 graduate of Christian Brothers University in Memphis, Tennessee. Mr. Dowdell has been with ConocoPhillips since 2011.

Don Thomason, Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Thomason has over 20 years of in-depth experience in supply chain management, logistics solutions, operations strategy, leadership development and profit improvement, primarily in startup and turnaround environments. He has extensive experience both domestically and internationally for manufacturers, retailers, wholesalers, 3PLs and logistics service providers in multiple industry sectors. In 2010 as Principal of Emerging Strategic Solutions, LLC, he first became associated with LĪT Surgical as a Global Supply Chain Optimization consultant. Mr. Thomason holds a B.B.A. Management in Quantitative Methods and Business Systems from Memphis State University (now the University of Memphis).
Analisa de la Espriella, Vice President – Operations
Ms. de la Espriella has over 17 years experience in Business Management in industries such as banking, manufacturing, export, risk management, and information services having gained corporate insight at global conglomerates such as Citibank, Chevron and Aon, as well as various small businesses. She holds a Certification in Telecommunications from Northwestern University which she used to bring together global communications trends with sales fulfillment strategy at various positions throughout her career. Ms. de la Espriella holds a B.S. in Business Administration with an emphasis in Entrepreneurship from DeVry University where she graduated summa cum laude. Her specialization effectively rounded up her professional experience to boost small businesses in launch stages of global growth. Ms. de la Espriella is also a career translator and speaks fluent Spanish.
